Statistics are very clear that in most cases of child sexual abuse and/or abduction the perpetrator is someone known to the child. This is one reason why "Stranger Danger" is obsolete and can unintentionally cause more harm than good. Predator-proofing is much more effective in protecting kids and easier for kids to follow. Let's face it, in today's world (both offline and online) it is nearly impossible to avoid talking to strangers. Yet most parents aren't sure how to talk about such an uncomfortable topic and never go beyond the old "Never talk to strangers speech" our parents used on us. This is exactly why MomRN has spent years researching and teaching families, parents, teachers, and child care providers how to "predator-proof" kids.

MomRN's Safe Kids and Safe Teens classes teach kids about potential dangers and how to prevent becoming a victim of child abduction and child sexual abuse. The information provided in our class is handled in a sensitive, non-threatening manner and is designed to empower kids and reduce unnecessary anxiety and fear.

MomRN will teach your kids how to recognize warning signs, common lures used by child predators, and the importance of trusting their instincts. MomRN also teaches kids how to safely interact with strangers and non-strangers and how to handle situations with anyone who makes them feel uncomfortable or threatened, no matter how little or how well they know the person.
Kids will also learn and practice life-saving techniques to help them escape from dangerous situations.

MomRN's Safe Kids and Safe Teens Classes:

MomRN's Safe Kids Class is designed for ages 4 to 10.
MomRN's Safe Teens Class is designed for ages 10 and up and provides more in-depth info about online safety and social networking safety.
Parents are encouraged to attend with the child, if possible. Parents will learn what their children need to know about child predators and how to reinforce safety lessons at home and school.

The MomRN Safe Kids class lasts approx. 60 minutes and the Safe Teens class lasts approximately 90 minutes, depending on questions and audience participation.

Our classes are perfect for families, daycares, schools, church groups, and parent/child groups, scout troops, and businesses who would like to offer the class for employees.
Classes are also available for parents only, teachers, and child care providers (and may count towards training/inservice credit hours). Prices and availability depend on group size and travel distance.
