I have discovered ebates.com. I don’t have much to spend in the first place, but what little I have managed to buy, I am earning cash back (even if only a few cents at a time) by going through ebates. In fact, if I get people to sign up through a link and spend $25, I earn $5! Pretty cool.

I participate in online websites that pay in giftcards and I save those up and either give them as gifts or I purchase gifts with them. All those cards add up at the end of the year!

  18. laurie steiner says:

if your kids like video games, try and establish a trading club, where the games rotate from kid to kid every week or so, so that they can play without having to each buy every game.

  19. Since my iPod is a basic one from several years ago and I LOVE it, I’m not about to trade it in. We don’t have other small electronic gadgets and our Wii is only a year old and a gift from extended family. Money is very tight in our house as we try to survive on one income, which BARELY pays the bills we have. Extra spending for gifts just isn’t in the budget. However, a little over a year ago I was introduced to swagbucks. Skeptical at first, I kept reading how others were cashing in their “Swag Bucks” points for gift cards to Amazon.com. I finally signed up and, in the course of a year, I earned about $350 in gift cards to Amazon.com. That is how I put “Jingle in our pockets” this year. We spent those gift cards on Christmas gifts for the kids. Without it, they wouldn’t have had much at all under the tree. http://www.swagbucks.com/refer/mychildsview

  20. I use a lot of reward sites like mypoints, swagbucks, jingit, Superpoints, etc and earn gift cards all year round. I save them up and use them for birthday gifts and holiday gifts. Every little bit adds up!

  21. Great idea, I could take them my old movies!
